07/02 England - Day 1
London outside our window was all-a-twitter on Saturday morning. We tried to find our way around the city by way of Hyde Park. Do you realize what was happening at Hyde Park? Live8 was getting started just a mile from our hotel. In our neighborhood, walking up our street was a Gay Parade and rally at Trafalgar Square where we are located. Half-a-million at Hyde, and 10,000 on the Square ... what an absolute madhouse it has been.
We got up today - Sunday - and 20,000 runners were lined up from the Square to Hyde Park for a morning race. Again, an absolute madhouse on our second morning. We can't wait for Monday and rush hour to return the city to normal traffic.
